Move Past Your Rut with These Tips

We’ve all been there! Those times when you go through the worshipping motions, but you don’t feel anything genuine.

It can feel lonely and discouraging, almost like a kind of burn out. It can make you long for the days when worship seemed so easy.

But, don’t worry!

It is just a funk. It’s easy enough to snap out of it, you just need a few pointers:

 

  1. Step out of your comfort zone

Changing your normal routine and breaking out of your comfort zone is a great way to get a fresh perspective on your life. Do something outside of your daily life that challenges you, such as joining a group, signing up to a marathon, or taking a road trip.

 

  1. Volunteer

Spend some time helping out those who have less than you to gain some perspective on your faith and put something back into the community at the same time.

 

  1. Join a retreat

Find a quiet place to get away from the daily grind so that you can spend time focusing on your relationship with God.

 

  1. Find some new music

There are plenty of amazing Christian bands who can put you back in touch with your faith. Check out Christian playlists for new music that you might not have heard of and load up your mp3 player with the sounds of worship.

 

  1. Get yourself some new threads
